Cyrus Klepcys Mars close-up
The Cyrus Klepcys Mars is the new timepiece unveiled at Baselworld 2012 by Cyrus. After the Cyrus Klepcys, Cyrus Klepcys Conquest, the Cyrus Klepcys Mars pay a tribute to Cyrus dream to conquer the red planet.
Never seen before in any other wristwatch, the planet Mars is in 3D, located on dial at 4 o’clock, and will take 779 days (considering the synodic period) to make a full revolution visible from the earth.

Cyrus is going to conquer Mars !
An another surprise was waiting for us at Baselworld 2012 : The Cyrus Klepcys Mars !
Cyrus seems to always be where you do not expect him. Who would have been able to imagine that Cyrus, after making the smallest three-dimensional gold moon available today, would create the smallest planet Mars available today in a wristwatch?
In July 1976 the Nasa spacecraft called Viking 1 was taking pictures of the planet Mars when it spotted some kind of human face, two miles long, on the surface of the planet. This picture made the front news during several years and it is still being discussed today.
Cyrus is playing with both reality, technicality and dreams. The watch has, of course, been created with Jean-François Mojon.
Cyrus Klepcys 539-003-B
I had the chance to see the Cyrus booth at Baselworld 2012 and take a few pictures of the new Cyrus Klepcys 539-003-B. It is a two colors, black and red gold version, it looks the same as the first Cyrus Klepcys except that it is a little bit more aggressive, more masculine.

Hands-on Cyrus Kuros 598-004-B
Yesterday I showed you a few pictures of the Cyrus Kuros 598-003-B (blue) but today I will show some pictures, also taken at Baselworld 2012, of the Cyrus Kuros 598-004-B (red).
Just like the blue one, this version is more ready for summer than the other ones

Hands-on Cyrus Kuros 598-003-B
Well, after a nice trip to Baselworld 2012, I had the chance to see, try and take a few pictures of the new Cyrus Kuros collection. The two new versions are quite different, they are more colorful and sporty for the summer !
The dial is entirely painted in white, the strap is also colored on each sides and the hands are in red or blue (with super-luminova).
As usual each edition is limited to 188 pieces.

Baselworld 2012: Cyrus is going to manufacture its own movements
It can be done through different processes and Cyrus chose an unexpected one: being a majority shareholder in 2 Swiss suppliers. The brand will be able to produce and manufacture its own movements without having to face many difficulties. The knowledge is already there so why not use it?
